St. Joseph's College is unique. I can guarantee that it is like nothing you have ever experienced. When my friends went away to school, they constantly reminded me that I was not getting the typical "college experience." I disagreed. College is what you make of it. As [SJC President] Dr. Calareso always says, "If all you do is go to class and earn your degree, then you did not make the most of your time here." The opportunities and resources that St. Joseph's College provides are endless. Take advantage of every single one of them.
I went to Suffolk before I came here and got my EMT license. After that I started looking at different programs so I could get my bachelor’s degree and looking at what would fit me as a person.
English Secondary Education
One of the other reasons I chose St. Joseph's is because the teaching program gives me the ability to be inside a classroom setting by my second year of college. I love how the program allows me to get comfortable in a classroom early on.
I like accounting because it is a versatile major that can be used in many ways for many different companies. This means that I have a good chance of having a job and making money.
SJC offers a dual program for accounting where I can receive a master's degree with only one extra year at the college, which I am looking to take advantage of. I also wanted to stay local for college and be able to keep my local job, so SJC was the perfect fit for me.
U.S. Marine Corps
I heard about St. Joe’s through a friend and I saw that it was one of the most military-friendly schools. I’m majoring in recreational therapy because I want to work in an adapted sports program with veterans.
