BROOKLYN and PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – September 15, 2023 – St. Joseph’s University, New York (SJNY) is pleased to announce the addition of two in-demand Family Nurse Practitioner programs to its curriculum — a master’s and advanced certificate — available on both the Brooklyn and Long Island campuses for the fall 2024 semester.

The M.S. in Family Nurse Practitioner program provides students with a well-rounded education that sufficiently blends theory with practical application, as well as access to collaborations with prestigious healthcare institutions to translate classroom knowledge into patient scenarios.

The advanced certificate program is a 19-credit curriculum designed to equip nurses with the essential theoretical and practical underpinnings. The program blends interactive learning and real-world clinical exposure.

“We are proud to add these new programs to our offerings for students,” said Maria Fletcher, Ph.D., R.N., C.N.E., associate dean for nursing and associate professor. “St. Joseph’s has a long history of preparing students for careers in high-demand fields, including nursing and healthcare. With these new programs, we look forward to educating the family nurse practitioners that are highly needed in the healthcare industry.”
