Accounting

The minor in Accounting is an ideal complement to several major fields of study.

This 18-credit minor helps develop a student’s accounting and analytical skills. Students have chosen this minor in order to prepare them for a distinguished professional career. For example, students have combined the Accounting minor with the Business Administration major to secure careers in civil service and corporate accounting. When combined with a major in Criminal Justice, students are prepared to pursue a career with one of several governmental units charged with investigating white collar crime or Medicaid fraud. And, when combined with Mathematics, this minor prepares students for careers in the insurance and financial services industries.
