Professional and Adult Learner Admissions

Professional and Adult Learner Admissions

If you are an adult learner or professional, you can bring the world your best by earning a St. Joseph's College degree. In many cases the entire admission, advisement and registration process can be completed during one visit to St. Joseph's. Applicants must bring the following:
  • Photocopied evidence of a high school diploma or its equivalent to be left at the office (We also accept evidence of completion of another educational program that requires a high school diploma or its equivalent; for example, a nursing diploma, a community college transcript or a professional license.)
  • A photocopy of the transcript from a United States college-level English composition course
  • A $25 nonrefundable application fee
  • A nonrefundable tuition deposit at the time of registration: $250 for full-time students (12 or more credits); $80 for part-time students (Both include a $5 ID card fee.)
  • Evidence, per New York State law, that applicants born on or after January 1, 1957, are immunized against measles, mumps and rubella (Consult the admissions counselor for details.)

Permanent resident or international students must bring their registration cards. International students should consult the International Student Admissions section of our website.

Applicants with transcripts from foreign institutions may be required to submit educational documents to a St. Joseph's College-approved foreign credential evaluation service for a course-by-course assessment. These applicants will deal directly with the foreign credential evaluation service and are responsible for following its procedures and paying fees for the service.

Applicants may also be required to submit a word-for-word English translation of credentials by a College-approved translation service at their expense.
